LEMON CHALLENGE - WEEK OF 06/10/24

In honor of Lemon month, let's make a tag featuring
Lemons.  Can be a lemonade stand, lemon pie, just a big cold
glass of lemonade!!

National Lemon Month traces its origins back to the significant historical journey of lemons themselves,
a journey that spans continents and centuries.

Lemons are believed to have originated in northwestern India and were later introduced to the Mediterranean region by Arab traders.

By the 11th century, European Crusaders encountered lemons and brought them back to Europe, which helped spread their cultivation​.

The real boost in lemon popularity came when Christopher Columbus carried lemon seeds to the Americas on his 1493 voyage,
planting them in Hispaniola. This marked the beginning of lemon cultivation in the New World​​.
